The mobile world with its billions of subscribers has long been the "mecca" of networking companies - and Cisco Systems has just shown their hand in the game for mobile dominance.
Integration of the Orative platform into Cisco's Unified Call Manager and Unified MeetingPlace voice and conferencing products will extend Cisco's enterprise reach to employee's "on-the-go".
Orative's mobile software integrates business intelligence software with existing mobile platforms, and has already been approved by Verizon.
It is a J2EE based product, and consists of an Enterprise Server and Client that sits on the mobile phone's software stack.
Enterprise cell phone users will be able to screen calls, access employee directories, view presence information, and interact just as if they were present in the enterprise over their mobile phones.
This Mayfield, Trinity, and Diamondhead funded startup has made it to the big time, and promises to offer sales and field personnel for Cisco-powered enterprises a much easier time communicating with their head offices.
