The team at Mozilla has announced that they are working on a mobile Firefox browser based on the Mozilla2. The good news is that it is expected to work with Linux, Windows Mobile, and Symbian. The bad news is that the Mozilla2 browser is not targeted for release until 2009 - long after others will have released a mobile browser.
Judging by the comments on the Mozilla site and blogs - Firefox fans are not upset about the delay and are quite happy about Symbian being another supported OS. Many Nokia phones have a Symbian OS - making them ripe for a Mozilla browser.
